This corner is suggested as e-working facility for the members of the WG LCI TF 2 but also to share information with other participiants of the LC Initiative and other interested parties.
"In keeping with the aims of the LC Initiative and responding to input received during the LCI User Needs Survey, the aim of this task force is to facilitate voluntary and practice-oriented movement towards consistency and commonality of database properties, while avoiding the role of drafting "standards" per se. The TF will pursue consistency on four core characteristics of databases:
- data quality
- documentation format
- data exchange format
- nomenclature
Characteristics 1-3 are interdependent. Characteristic 4 will be addressed jointly with participants and task forces of the LCIA program." [terms of reference, LC Initiative, Feb. 2004]
